Eight Suspected Cases of Unknown Origin Hepatitis Found in Argentina

The Argentine Ministry of Health has reported eight suspected cases of hepatitis of unknown origin in children. According to Gazeta.ru, relevant authorities are conducting tests and epidemiological investigations, and a definitive diagnosis for the patients has not yet been established.

"These are isolated cases, and there is no connection between them," the ministry stated.

The health ministry advises doctors to classify cases as suspicious when symptoms are consistent with hepatitis, but with negative tests for viral hepatitis (types A, B, C, D, and E). It is also recommended that the detection of adenovirus be included in the investigation of these patients.
