Did the U.S. Provide Intelligence on the Moskva Cruiser to Ukraine? Pentagon Representative Comments

Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby has denied reports from American media suggesting that the U.S. provided Ukraine with intelligence regarding the Russian cruiser Moskva. This was reported by the New York Times.

Previously, CNN had reported that Ukrainian servicemen received intelligence from the U.S. about the location of the cruiser. “The Ukrainians have their own capabilities in the intelligence field to monitor and target Russian ships,” the newspaper quoted Kirby's statement.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that, on April 13, the Moskva missile cruiser sustained serious damage due to an ammunition detonation following a fire. One serviceman lost his life in the struggle to save the ship, another crew member is missing, and the remaining 396 crew members were evacuated, according to RIA Novosti.
