Criminal Case Initiated for Insults Directed at Pashinyan

The Investigative Committee of Armenia's Yerevan city unit for serious crimes is conducting investigative and procedural activities to clarify the circumstances surrounding a citizen's insults directed at the Prime Minister of Armenia and acts of hooliganism.

According to preliminary information, data has been received indicating that on April 29, 2022, at 06:30, a citizen insulted the Prime Minister in connection with his public activities on Sayat Nova Street in Yerevan.

Subsequently, on the same day at 06:48, a report was received at the Arabkir division of the Armenian Police stating that the individual suspected of committing the crime had damaged the windows, aluminum sections, and advertising banners of a cafe operating in Yerevan. It was determined that the alleged crimes were committed by the same person, and the criminal cases were consolidated into one proceeding based on Articles 137.1, Part 2, Point 2, and 258, Part 2 of the Armenian Penal Code.

An investigation is underway. Necessary measures are being taken to locate the individual who allegedly committed the crimes and present them to the prosecuting authority.
