Woman Murdered with Extreme Brutality was a Lecturer Abducted from YSU in 2017
On May 4, a woman was murdered in Yerevan with extreme brutality, and the accused, N. S., is the son of a community leader. According to the information we received, N. S.'s wife had left him, and they were in the process of divorce. However, N. S.'s father partially denied this information in an interview with Aravot.am, stating, 'I don't know who provided you with that information, I have no such information. They weren't together, but they weren't divorced either.'
The father of the accused stated that he has no knowledge of what issues his son had with the woman or what he was trying to clarify on the day of the incident. He mentioned that he does not have specific information regarding his son's family matters. According to unverified reports, N. S. allegedly killed his wife under the influence of drugs. Our interlocutor responded to this information: 'Let the medical community investigate that, if I say no now, you might think I am defending my son. He has been my son for 32 years; I have never seen such things with him, neither drugs, nor alcohol, nor even a regular cigarette.'
The source confirmed that he learned about the news from phones and is still uncertain about its authenticity. Interestingly, N. S. first gained media attention in 2017 for the abduction of YSU lecturer T. A. At that time, the police prepared materials regarding the incident. The victim of the murder, in fact, was T. A., who had become his wife.
