What Is Suspicious? Pashinyan on the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine
On May 5, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed discussions regarding the Government's acquisition of ownership of the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine during a meeting of the Cabinet.
“Some consider it a dubious, corrupt transaction. This is quite surprising. If any official, or a relative of an official through offshore companies, had become the owner of that property, no one would be concerned, as has always been the case. Yet, when the state acquires property, for some reason it seems suspicious. What is suspicious? The investor who acquired shares from the old shareholders decided to make a donation to the Republic of Armenia, and the Republic of Armenia gratefully accepted that donation,” said Prime Minister Pashinyan.
Earlier, in the National Assembly, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the Republic of Armenia and its people are the owners of the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Plant.
