VIDEO: Is it Hard? I’m Asking a Simple Question, Pashinyan Got Angry
During today’s government session, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the revenue plan for the state budget for the first four months of 2022 has exceeded expectations by 30 billion drams. He inquired from the Head of the State Revenue Committee, Rustam Badasyan, about the amount collected in taxes, to which Badasyan replied that as of April 21, the tax revenue had amounted to 19.6 billion.
Finance Minister Tigran Khachaturyan provided a different figure, noting that as of yesterday, the amount had reached 24 billion, whereas last year it had been 24.6 billion. “We currently have 48.6 billion drams,” said Khachaturyan.
Pashinyan was irritated by the conflicting figures. “Just tell me the number, is it that hard to figure out? It takes us 10 minutes to determine how much we have collected from the first day until now, and you are providing four different figures,” the Prime Minister remarked.
