Video: Husband Arrested on Suspicion of Murdering 35-Year-Old Wife - Details

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has initiated a criminal case under part 1 of Article 104 of the RA Criminal Code as part of an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the murder of a 35-year-old woman.

The notification regarding the incident was received on May 5, 2022, at 01:53 from the Emergency Medical Service, stating that a paramedic team responding to a call had discovered the body of a woman, aged 30-35, with head injuries in an apartment on Adontzi Street in Yerevan.

An investigative-operational group immediately dispatched to the scene found the body of the apartment's resident in the bedroom, showing signs of physical injury.

During the preliminary investigation, forensic medical, genetic, and trace examinations were assigned. Numerous individuals have been questioned, and footage from surveillance cameras in the vicinity of the incident has been confiscated and examined.

As a result of the actions taken, the identity of the suspected perpetrator was established, who is the 35-year-old woman's husband. He has since been arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
