Nephew of ruling party MP participates in opposition gatherings: 'Hayots Ashkharh'
'Hayots Ashkharh' reports that representatives of the ruling political team, in the form of the parliamentary 'Civil Contract' faction, have recently been vocally attacking the opposition and specific figures within it. One after another, they label the opposition with various terms such as 'thieves', 'revanchists', and 'liars'. Often, these current officials forget that among the 'former ones' are also their own relatives and blood relatives.
For instance, Arthur Hunanyan, the secretary of the 'Civil Contract' faction, has referred to the opposition as a 'group of poorly understood people', 'bubble-blowers of lies', 'revanchists', and 'those who do not love the people' who desire war.
Interestingly, while giving such evaluations to the opposition, does he also mean his own maternal uncle, Ruben Hunanyan, who was the head of the cultural department of the city hall for many years and has been participating every day in the gatherings at France Square? We believe that MP Hunanyan is aware that his uncle is also demanding his and his leader's resignation and is actively participating in the protests taking place on the streets of Yerevan.
In this respect, 'Hayots Ashkharh' wanted to hear the opinion of the secretary of the Civil Contract faction; however, he did not answer our calls. The assistant, who had promised to relay our request for a comment to him, also did not get back to us.
