Explosion at a Factory in Sumgayit: One Fatality

One person has died as a result of an explosion during welding work at a metallurgical factory in the Azerbaijani city of Sumgayit. The information was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the city's prosecutor's office.

According to the agency, the deceased has been identified as Sarhan Gumatov, born in 1990, who worked as a welder at the factory. Following the incident, Gumatov suffered multiple injuries and was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

An investigation is underway regarding the incident.
