Disobedience Protests Are a Bit Exaggerated, Says Kerobyan on Impact of Demonstrations and Economy

Protests, school strikes, and work stoppages that have taken place in various regions of Armenia and Yerevan over the past few days do not impact the economy. This opinion was expressed by Armenia's Minister of Economy, Vahan Kerobyan, during a conversation with journalists following a government meeting.

“I think the term 'disobedience protest' is a bit exaggerated; there are a few hundred or a thousand people who do not have a significant impact on the economy. Closing one or two roads for one or two hours cannot have any effect on the economy,” Kerobyan stated.

It is noteworthy that a wave of protests erupted in Armenia following Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statements regarding Artsakh.
