Video: Public Demand for Pashinyan's Resignation Released, Tensions Rise in Parliament
Armen Rustamyan, a member of the "Armenia" faction, presented in Parliament the public demand for Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's resignation. The demand states:
- Nikol Pashinyan, occupying the position of Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, has failed to protect Armenian interests in the negotiations regarding the Artsakh conflict, leading to war and defeat.
- He admitted that he could have prevented the war and avoided thousands of casualties, but did not act.
- In June 2021, he promised to return the prisoners of war within 1-2 months, yet there are still prisoners today.
- With his electoral program, he promised to implement a clear policy for clarifying the final status of Artsakh through the full realization of the right to self-determination, asserting that the people of Artsakh cannot survive under Azerbaijani rule, yet he deceived the public and is now pursuing a different path.
- He promised exponential economic growth, but the public debt, poverty, prices, and deaths are on the rise instead.
He has not fulfilled numerous promises, the last of which ended tragically: a person who spoke out against authoritarianism, who stopped his convoy at a red light and presented yielding to pedestrians as an achievement, was involved in a hit-and-run with a pregnant Armenian woman during the day and, as always, fled.
Based on all of this, Nikol Pashinyan is no longer legitimate, he does not have a mandate to lead our state to new concessions and must resign.
