How Many People Are Needed for a Revolution According to Aram Sargsyan
For a revolution, 100,000 to 150,000 people are needed, with an increasing trend similar to what Nikol Pashinyan had during the period from April 24, 2018. This was announced by Aram Zaveni Sargsyan, the leader of the Republic party, during a broadcast on First Channel.
“Currently, the opposition has gathered 10,000 to 12,000 people; it is laughable to think that such a number can bring about a regime change. Today, any oligarch in Armenia, for instance, Samvel Aleksanyan, can mobilize 12,000 people by offering just one additional salary. Since they have not gathered a revolutionary electorate, they are resorting to rebellion, instigating conflicts, pushing police, and insulting passersby and drivers. Are they strengthening Armenia with this? They are anti-people in the literal sense of the word,” Sargsyan said.
In response to the question of why, Aram Sargsyan stated that they are saying simply ‘Nikol must go’ without outlining any alternatives. When asked about forming a temporary government, Sargsyan answered, “Who guarantees that a war will not start during this unclear temporary government phase?”
