Fight near the ‘Vstrechi Bridge’: One injured

Recent reports on electronic media indicated that shots were fired in the vicinity of the station, resulting in one person being hospitalized with gunshot wounds. However, Shamshyan.com reports that this information is not accurate, as they also received similar reports.

It has been clarified that a fight occurred near the railway tracks adjacent to the Sassuntsi David station, close to the area popularly known as the ‘Vstrechi Bridge’. During the altercation, an individual sustained injuries to the head and leg and fled the scene, alerting the Yerevan emergency services and informing them of their location.

The emergency medical team, which arrived promptly, provided first aid before transporting the injured to the ‘Erebuni’ medical center. Currently, an operational group from the Erevan police department is investigating the scene, led by a senior investigator from the investigative department.

Police patrol officers from the 2nd battalion of the Yerevan division discovered blood-like traces and a blood-stained handkerchief near the scene of the fight and collected them as evidence for investigation. Preparations for a legal investigation are underway.

The police are working to identify the injured party and participants of the incident and are taking necessary operational and investigative measures to locate them. Reports of gunfire have been denied.
