Earthquake Near Armenia-Georgia Border
On May 4, at 02:43 local time (22:43 GMT on May 3), the seismic network of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.2 in the border area between Georgia and Armenia, located 15 km northeast of the village of Bavra, at geographical coordinates of 41.17° N latitude and 43.97° E longitude, and at a depth of 10 km.
The intensity of the underground shock in the epicentral zone reached 4 points on the scale.
The earthquake was felt in the Shirak region, in the villages of Bavra, Ashotzk, Sizavet, Ghazanchi, Tavshut, and Saragyugh, as well as in the Lori region, in the villages of Paghtappar and Metsavan, with an intensity of 3 points.
