Bodies of Two Residents Found Buried in Gyumri, Arrests Made

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh has provided details regarding the discovery of buried bodies in the Askeran region. It has been reported that there are arrests made in connection with the case.

On May 2, an operative officer from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Askeran regional police submitted a report indicating that, following a phone call from the Mush division of the Shirak regional department of the RA police, search operations were conducted. As a result, at approximately 12:50 PM on the same day, the bodies of two residents of Gyumri, 55-year-old A. T. and 45-year-old R. K., were discovered buried in the backyard of a house belonging to the deceased V. Hakobian in the village of Nakhijevanik, located in the Askeran region. Both victims had sustained bodily injuries to the head.

Following operational investigative measures conducted in collaboration with the Criminal Investigation Department of the Artsakh police, the National Security Service, the Investigative Committee, and the main department of criminal police of the RA, it was determined that the aforementioned murders were carried out on April 16 at around 10 PM by 37-year-old E. E. from Vagharshapat in the Armavir region and 51-year-old E. M. from the village of Vostan in the Ararat region.

Immediate investigative actions have been initiated, and a preliminary investigation is underway. The Artsakh Investigative Committee is handling the verification process.
