"Head Laceration, Cranial Trauma": Gunshots on Yerevan-Meghri Road
On May 1, at 19:20, the police department of Yeghegnadzor received a report of gunfire in an area called K'ari Tak. The operational group of the Yeghegnadzor police clarified that a dispute occurred at the 116.5 km mark of the Yerevan-Meghri road, during which shots were fired.
The police reported that at 19:25, they received an update from the hospital indicating that a 56-year-old man from Yeghegnadzor was admitted with a "head laceration" injury. He stated that while getting out of his car in the aforementioned area, he fell and sustained the injury.
At 20:10, a second report from the hospital was received, diagnosing a 37-year-old man with a "cranial trauma" who was unconscious and required medical assistance. It was determined that he sustained the injury during the same dispute that occurred in that location.
During the inspection of the crime scene, three cartridge casings and one bullet were found. The 56-year-old man has been brought to the Yeghegnadzor police station. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 258, Part 4 of the RA Criminal Code (Hooliganism). Measures are being taken to determine the circumstances of the incident. An investigation is underway.
