Çavuşoğlu Explains Why He Showed ‘Gray Wolves’ Gesture to Armenian Protesters

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has returned to Turkey after completing a tour of six Latin American countries. On his return journey, he answered questions from journalists, as reported by ntv.com.tr.

Çavuşoğlu addressed the gesture he made, associated with the far-right 'Gray Wolves' organization, during a protest organized by the local Armenian community against Turkey, which was dedicated to the 107th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire.

Explaining his behavior, the Turkish Foreign Minister stated: “The protesters displayed ‘ugly’ behavior, and after this ‘unacceptable and grotesque’ conduct, we gave the necessary response.”
