Authorities Are Terrified: Levon Kocharian

What I observe is that there is a decisive group of our compatriots ready to save our country from these Turkish vassal authorities. In this regard, everything is positive. This was stated today, on May 2, in a conversation with journalists at France Square by Levon Kocharian, son of the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharian.

“Today we witnessed the brutal, disproportionate, and impudent behavior of the police forces. This shows that the authorities are terrified and understand that this wave is growing. They may be prepared for everything at the top, but I do not believe that the police will take such actions. It largely depends on the number and determination of those gathered here,” Kocharian said.

In response to a question about whether the assembled people are sufficient to carry out a revolution, he replied, “I think there is still ahead, there are still many people who think like us, who need to take to the streets. Everyone should understand that everything depends on them. In terms of numbers, I think we are sufficient, but the more people join us, the easier and more seamless it will be.”

Addressing the possibility of civil clashes, Levon Kocharian said, “It is clear that the representatives of the authorities will attempt to instill fear in the people, saying that if you go out into the streets, we can do this or that, but there is no such thing. They will try to show force, and we must also demonstrate our determination. In the end, they are fighting for the chair of a traitor, while we are fighting for our country. We have nothing to think about; they should be the ones to think. I do not see the danger of clashes because during our march actions, the vast majority of our society welcomes us from balconies and with signals. I do not believe there is a large mass of our citizens that would go out and clash with their fellow citizens. I do not see such a danger.”
