NATO Will Respond to Russia If One of Its Members Is Attacked, Çavuşoğlu Says

NATO will not engage in the conflict in Ukraine, but will provide a necessary response if Russia attacks one of its member states. This was announced by Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.

“NATO's position is clear; we will not enter the war in Ukraine, but we will respond if even the smallest attack occurs on any ally,” Çavuşoğlu's words are quoted by A Haber television.

Russia began military operations in Ukraine on February 24.
