From Tomorrow, Many Streets and Highways Will Be Closed: Saghatelyan
The opposition has announced the resumption of large-scale acts of disobedience starting tomorrow at 8:30 AM. Several streets and highways in Armenia will be closed, and a student strike and work stoppage have also been declared.
The opposition is also planning to hold a gathering at France Square tonight with supporters. "Starting tomorrow morning, we will begin the process of denationalization of these individuals; this is not a seizure of power, but the constitutional right of dignified citizens of the Republic of Armenia to take to the streets and remove a Turkish-dependent government at any moment," declared Ishkhan Saghatelyan during a large public rally.
Saghatelyan stated that from tomorrow, many streets and highways will be closed: "Especially in the Central community, there should be no movement of vehicles whatsoever," he said.
Saghatelyan called for strikes and classes to be suspended starting tomorrow. "I apologize to all our citizens for the inconvenience we will cause, but we must understand that this is a matter of days; we must endure these few days and experience deprivations to achieve results. After this, there will be solidarity, justice, and unity in Armenia," he added. Saghatelyan also urged participants to maintain order during acts of disobedience. "We will not engage in conflicts with citizens who have different views; they are our brothers and sisters, our compatriots. We need to explain to them that we are fighting for them too. Secondly, we will not create disorder," he stated.
