Turkey Plans to Build Homes for Refugees in Syria
Turkey plans to build 100,000 homes in northern Syria to accommodate Syrian refugees residing in the country, announced Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, as reported by RIA Novosti.
“Our goal is to initially construct 100,000 homes here in northern Syria, with the aim of resettling those who came from Turkey. At the moment, we have built about 60,000 homes. We are taking steps in Syria and will continue to do so to bring people to our side, and I believe our work will be much easier if we bring them to our side,” Erdoğan told reporters during a flight returning from Saudi Arabia.
