VIDEO: The Agenda of Peace is Not at All an Agenda of Defeat, Says Pashinyan

In Yerevan, a discussion was held on the progress of programs being implemented in Artsakh, led by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan.

"We have deemed it essential that the authorities of Artsakh are fully informed about our programs, upcoming activities, including the substance and progress of negotiations regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, challenges, and opportunities. This principle has always been upheld and will continue to be so," said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the start of the meeting.

According to him, Artsakh and its people are the primary stakeholders in the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. He emphasized, "Therefore, any discussion or implementation of content in secrecy is utterly illogical, and it is simply impossible to imagine such a thing."

“I highly appreciate your recent statement that the authorities of Artsakh are also, in essence, adopting a peace agenda. I want to say that the peace agenda is by no means an agenda of defeat. The peace agenda is about overcoming the scourge of war and the difficulties that followed, guaranteeing the security, rights, and future of the people. I must say that it is through very hard, difficult work that I can see the path, the sequence of steps that should lead us to the destination that we have spoken of so loudly. That is, the guarantee of the security and rights of the people of Armenia and Artsakh, and as I have said before, there is a very important principle that an Artsakh resident should live in Artsakh, consider themselves an Artsakh resident and Armenian. This is the agenda that we must jointly promote,” noted Nikol Pashinyan.
