United States Hopeful Mexico Will Press Russia on Ukraine

The U.S. and Mexico are working constructively to address the situation surrounding Ukraine, with American authorities hopeful that Mexico City will join the West in imposing restrictions against Moscow. This was announced by a senior official from the Washington administration, López Obrador, during a special briefing, reported TASS.

Journalists asked the official to comment on Mexico's stance towards Russia in relation to the events in Ukraine. “Regarding Russia, Mexico has previously reaffirmed its condemnation of Russia's unjustified invasion in multilateral forums,” he stated.

López Obrador condemned the war, calling on the international community to do everything possible to immediately cease the conflict.
