Trilateral Meeting to Be Held: Mirzoyan and Lavrov Have Had a Phone Conversation

On April 29, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had a phone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, as reported by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of the Armenian Prime Minister's official visit to Russia, reaffirming their commitment to the provisions of the joint statement made by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin on April 19.

The Foreign Ministers discussed the implementation of obligations undertaken by the trilateral statements of November 9, 2020, January 11, 2021, and November 26, 2021, and addressed the formation of a commission on the delimitation and border security issues between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Ararat Mirzoyan reaffirmed Armenia's position regarding processes aimed at establishing regional peace and stability, as well as negotiations on a comprehensive peace treaty with Azerbaijan.

Minister Mirzoyan agreed to the Russian side's proposal to hold a trilateral meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan during the CIS Foreign Ministers Council meeting scheduled for May 13 in Dushanbe.
