Police Used Violence Against My Eldest Son in the Car, Gegham Nazaryan

Member of the "Armenia" alliance, Gegham Nazaryan, wrote on his Facebook page:

The red berets, to put it mildly, used disproportionate force against my eldest son, Armenak, the brother of Abgar, when he was trying to free his friend, Taron Manukyan, from the enraged red berets in front of Yerevan State University, who had already been thrown to the ground and was being beaten by several berets.

Violence was used against Armenak not only near the university entrance but also in the police car when he was already in handcuffs. The police brutally hit and insulted my son Abgar's brother in the police car as well. You agree, right, that now everything makes sense. You, a scoundrel red beret, a deceiver, a subhuman, do you think Abgar will let you go scot-free? No matter who you are, you will face heavy and brutal realities. You have hit Armenak, insulted Abgar.

Mr. Rector of YSU, do you have nothing to say? I will come to the university, look into your eyes, and ask an important question. YSU professors, your students are being beaten near your university. Sevak Nazaryan was also detained along with Armenak. A wonderful, bright young man. Taron Manukyan has received numerous blows.

Police Chief, Deputy Police Chiefs, do you have nothing to say or do? I believe you do. This is already the last straw. Who ordered to handcuff Armenak? Who?

After all this, I still say that I will stand and protect Ashotik and Mariamik if they try to use violence against them. The children have nothing to do with the actions of their parent. I haven't had questions for Nikol for a long time. I’m not saying anything to him. Now even more, I say that I will do everything for this country to heal, develop, and restore its dignity. I promise this to Abgar.

As for Sevak and Armenak, they are already free. Armenak has also undergone a medical examination."
