Zakharova Calls US Initiative 'Nonsense'
The spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, called the US initiative to recognize Russia as a state sponsoring terrorism 'nonsense'. The diplomat indicated that there would be consequences for such actions.
“All the measures they take, even of such a foolish nature, will be processed and continued. Of course, we do not leave anything unanswered, and they need to understand that,” Zakharova said during a live broadcast with Solovyov, responding to a question about how Russia is reacting to the US initiative to label it a state sponsoring terrorism.
Zakharova noted that up to now, the international community has not raised global issues in the legal field regarding US actions in Syria, Libya, Iraq, and other countries. According to her, the US attempts to take unfriendly measures against the Russian Federation due to alleged crimes committed against Ukrainians could 'bounce back' in Washington.
