Suren Papikyan Visits Southern Frontline

On April 28, Armenian Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan made a working visit to military units deployed along the southern direction of the republic. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

At the high-altitude outposts of the frontline, the head of the defense department familiarized himself with the conditions of combat duty and spoke with the soldiers on duty. The commander of the military unit, Major General Artak Budaghyan, presented the ongoing works aimed at strengthening the frontline.

During the visit, Suren Papikyan also met with personnel involved in the quarterly training exercises who were carrying out combat duty on the frontline. The minister inquired about the service conditions and morale of the exercise participants, expressing gratitude for their active participation in the defense of the Homeland.

As a result of the visit, the Minister of Defense gave specific instructions and directives to the commanders of the military unit and subordinate formations regarding the timely rectification of identified shortcomings.
