Nationwide Cleanup Day to Be Held in Two Days
On April 30, a nationwide cleanup day will take place. This was announced today during a Government meeting by the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Gnel Sanosyan.
“There hasn’t been a nationwide cleanup day organized due to the coronavirus pandemic in 2020-21. Of course, some communities have held separate small events. Now, together with partner organizations, we have been working actively; the Ministry of Defense, the police, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Economy, and the regional administrations, as well as the municipality of Yerevan, are quite involved,” stated the minister.
“We have all worked on this and there is a clear plan in place; responsible persons have been assigned for each location with specific tasks. One issue may arise related to weather conditions, but we will not change the scheduled date for the cleanup day. In areas and regions where weather conditions do not permit, we will carry it out the following week,” he added.
