Avinyan's Nomination to Run for Mayor: Hrachya Sargsyan

My term has 1.5 years left, after which Mr. Avinyan's candidacy will be proposed for the position of mayor. This was stated by Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan during a press briefing.

When asked if he considers it unfair for his team to propose Tigran Avinyan’s candidacy instead of his own, Sargsyan said: “I do not feel a sense of injustice as such. I have not expressed disagreement on this matter; I have served as the deputy mayor for five years, and I think that period has been sufficient. Perhaps I will transition to another job,” Sargsyan said.
