Ankara Emphasizes Importance of Peace Establishment: Putin and Erdogan Speak Again
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan have discussed the situation in Ukraine via telephone. This was reported on April 28 by the Turkish leader's office, according to Regnum.
During the call on Thursday, President Erdogan highlighted the need for close dialogue between the intelligence services of Turkey and the Russian Federation.
Erdogan noted that Turkey's mediation in the exchange of detained citizens between Russia and the USA not only underscores Ankara's commitment to establishing peace, dialogue, and cooperation but is also significant for its mediating mission. He pointed out the role of the National Intelligence Organization, stating that it is necessary to continue coordination and close communication among intelligence units. He expressed that this would contribute to preventing humanitarian tragedies and establishing stability in the region.
It is noteworthy that the previous conversation between the two leaders took place on April 26.
