Opposition figure Nikol would say, 'murderous cortege': Taguhi Tovmasyan
It is unacceptable to leave an injured pregnant woman without help. This was stated by Taguhi Tovmasyan, a member of the National Assembly from the "Honorable Mission" faction and chair of the permanent commission on human rights and public affairs, on her Facebook page.
She specifically noted: "According to the RA Investigative Committee, preliminary data indicates that yesterday, around 18:05, the commander of the patrol squad accompanying the 'Road Police' service struck a 28-year-old resident of the Ararat region with his 'Toyota Prado' vehicle at the intersection of Paronyan and Leo streets in Yerevan. As a result of the injuries sustained, she was hospitalized at the 'Nairi' medical center, where she succumbed without regaining consciousness. I regret to learn that the driver of the mentioned vehicle left the scene of the accident and fled. Opposition figure Nikol would say, 'murderous cortege.' I express my condolences to our citizen's relatives. I hope that those responsible will face just punishment to the full extent of the law. I will remain vigilant."
The deputy also added that the victim of the incident yesterday was Sona Mnatsakanyan, the director of the 'Wings' IT center project under construction in Artsakh.
