Jhangiryan is Restless: What is the Reason? 'Haykakan Jrat'

‘Haykakan Jrat’ newspaper reports, ‘Although last week the acting president of the Supreme Judicial Council, Gagik Jhangiryan, was accompanying Nikol Pashinyan during his visit to Gyumri, our sources say that he is quite restless about the media reports concerning his departure. He has even written personal letters to Pashinyan requesting a private meeting, but there has been no response.

The matter is that on May 6, the Constitutional Court will make a decision regarding Jhangiryan, based on the lawsuit of Aram Vardevanyan. This lawsuit pertains to Jhangiryan's inability to be elected as a member of the Supreme Judicial Council due to age restrictions. According to our sources in the Constitutional Court, Jhangiryan's fate is not as straightforward as the media suggests; it depends significantly on Yervand Khundkaryan, whose opinion in the CC is decisive and opinion-shaping.
