Control Over Social Media to Tighten in Estonia on May 9

On the eve of May 9, the police in Estonia will strengthen their oversight of social media and plan to take measures to prevent car rallies supporting Russia's actions in Ukraine. This was reported by RT, citing a representative of the local police.

It is noted that honoring the memory of the deceased is not prohibited; people are allowed to bring flowers to cemeteries, but "military symbols and 'hostile speech' are unacceptable."

The police in Moldova have also previously warned that they will punish any citizens wearing the St. George ribbon, both on Victory Day and at any other time.

Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, called the prohibition of wearing the St. George ribbon in Moldova a betrayal.
