Azerbaijani Expert from 'What? Where? When?' Calls Marshal Zhukov a 'Thief'; Criminal Case Launched in Russia
The Russian investigators have opened a criminal case against Rovshan Askerov, an Azerbaijani expert from the television quiz show 'What? Where? When?' for publications on social networks promoting Nazism, as reported by RIA Novosti from the Russian Investigative Committee.
The Investigative Committee of Russia determined that on April 6, Askerov posted false information on his Facebook page that insulted and discredited the memory of Marshal Georgy Zhukov of the Soviet Union. Askerov has been charged under part four of Article 354.1 of the Russian Criminal Code, which carries a potential sentence of up to five years in prison.
In his Facebook post, Askerov referred to Zhukov as an 'experienced robber, thief, and murderer in uniform.'
