Ukraine Will Again Seek NATO Membership, Says Pentagon Chief
The U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin admits that Ukraine will in the future "strive to reapply" for NATO membership. He made this statement following consultations in Germany at the Ramstein Air Base regarding military aid to Kyiv.
"That (Kyiv's decision) will be a sovereign decision. In the future, if such an opportunity arises, I believe Ukraine will strive to reapply for NATO membership," Austin said.
As previously reported by Ruslan Stefanchuk, the President of Ukraine's Supreme Rada, Kyiv will not alter the provisions regarding NATO membership plans enshrined in Ukraine's Constitution.
