Numerous Misappropriations. High-Profile Arrests Possible. 'Pasta'

'Pasta' newspaper reports: 'The State Oversight Service of Armenia announced yesterday that at present oversight operations are being conducted in more than fifty controlled objects, including bodies of the state management system, their subordinate institutions, as well as several local self-government bodies.

In particular, the list includes the Yerevan City Hall, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, Haypost CJSC, the Ambulance Service CJSC, and others. According to information from 'Pasta', numerous misappropriations have already been revealed as a result of these investigations; specifically, over 10 billion drams in misappropriations have been detected in just one of the studied entities.

According to our sources, in the near future, when the results are summarized, high-profile arrests are even likely to occur.'
