Opened Lock with Iron Rod and Stole 6 Million Drams with a Friend: Investigative Committee
The investigation into a residential burglary case has been completed by the Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia in Armavir Province. According to the Investigative Committee, based on the data established during the investigation, a 42-year-old man, intending to secretly steal someone else's property, agreed in advance with his friend to go to a house on Lomonosov Street belonging to a resident of Ejmiadzin city in January 2021. They used an iron rod to open the lock of the house gate, entered, and, working in tandem, stole various electrical equipment, household items, and other goods, causing the citizen particularly large property damage of around 6,000,000 AMD.
Based on the evidence collected, charges have been brought against the two men under Article 177, Part 3, Clauses 1 and 1.1 of the RA Criminal Code. As a measure of restraint, a signed pledge not to leave has been chosen for them. The preliminary investigation has been completed, and the criminal case has been sent to court with an accusatory conclusion.
