Knife-Wielding 9th Grader Attacks Mother of Artsakh Hero David Arushanyan

Aram Gevorgyan, a close acquaintance of the Arushanyan family, reported during a Facebook live stream that a girl attacked the mother of Artsakh hero David Arushanyan, identified as Ms. Lida.

“On the evening of April 23, Ms. Lida was threatened with a knife by a 9th-grade girl while returning home. As she was walking home, she encountered two individuals in her neighborhood, where there is a building housing displaced persons from Artsakh. Ms. Lida was about three meters away when she heard one of them yelling, filled with curses, stating that the people from Artsakh have come and need to be removed,” Gevorgyan recounted. “Ms. Lida admonished them, saying that these people did not come here without reason. Following this, the girl drew a fairly large knife with a white handle and attacked Ms. Lida, shouting, ‘Hey old woman, who are you to say such things? Do you know who my father is? I will cut your throat, I will cut off your head, I will know your place and rip you to pieces!’ Ms. Lida mentioned that she used her bag to protect herself from being harmed to her face,” Gevorgyan added, noting that the incident occurred in the 5th district of Nor Nork, and that the assailant's friend pulled her away afterward.

According to Gevorgyan, after the incident, Ms. Lida called the police, who accompanied her to the location of the event. Later, it was determined that the girls involved are 9th-grade students at School No. 166 named Elen and Jemma. Auroranews is attempting to confirm with the police whether they received a report regarding this incident.
