German Company Considers Paying for Russian Gas in Euros
A representative of the German company Uniper has stated that the concern considers it possible to pay for Russian gas in euros in the future. This was reported by RT, citing Bloomberg.
According to the group's spokesperson, the company has reached this conclusion after a "preliminary, non-binding assessment."
"We continue to believe that in the future, it may be possible to develop a payment method (in euros)," the representative stated.
Earlier, the European Commission announced that European companies might agree to a payment system for Russian gas in rubles without violating anti-Russian sanctions.
