Elon Musk Acquires Twitter for $44 Billion
Tesla owner Elon Musk has acquired Twitter for $44 billion, according to Reuters.
“Free speech is the foundation of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated,” Musk previously stated while commenting on his decision to purchase the company.
Following Musk's offer, Twitter's stock surged by approximately 6%.
