Arrest Made of 'Proshyantsi Muldo' for Assaulting 20-Year-Old and Posting Video Online
On April 23, law enforcement officers from the Ararat regional police department detained Tigran Hovhannisyan, a 42-year-old resident of Masis city.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, a senior investigator from the Masis division of the police reported that on the same day, he noticed a video titled 'Public Voice: Urgent Abduction of Vahe Ghazaryan, Prasyantsi Muldo' on a YouTube page established under the official name of Vardan Ghukasian, the president of the Armenian Homeland party. In this video, Ghukasian claims that an individual known as Prasyantsi Muldo and his group have abducted a citizen, who was subjected to violence, specifically being hit on various parts of the body with hands and feet, insulted, and that all of this was filmed and published on the TikTok social media platform.
The video shows T. Hovhannisyan assaulting a young man at his home, who is being recorded by someone else.
Ararat regional police, undertaking necessary operational-investigative measures, identified that the assaulted citizen is a 20-year-old resident of Kotayk region.
It is reported that the Ararat police then used operational information to locate Prasyantsi Muldo and tracked him down quickly for detention at the Masis police division.
