Pashinyan's Moscow Visit Sparks Conflict Within Ruling Faction
According to “Hraparak,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s visit to Moscow has ignited a feud within the ruling faction. Sources indicate that following the joint statement by Pashinyan and Putin, the 'Western' or more accurately, Soros-aligned segment is openly protesting in the parliament, threatening Pashinyan for 'kissing the Russian boot' and fleeing from the West. Conversely, the pro-Russian wing is enthusiastic.
Despite not meeting with deputies before or after his trip to Moscow nor presenting the results of his visit, the mere mention of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue in the statement has allowed ruling faction members to positively evaluate the visit in terms of resolving the issue. Notably, just weeks earlier, following a meeting in Brussels, there wasn’t a single mention of Karabakh in the statement issued by European Council President Charles Michel.
Our source noted that this is the third such instance where Nagorno-Karabakh was omitted from outcomes of trilateral meetings held in the European Union. Following the meeting on December 14, 2021, between Charles Michel, Nikol Pashinyan, and Ilham Aliyev, and a virtual meeting in February 2022 involving French President Macron and the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, the term 'Karabakh' was absent from the communications issued by the parties involved.
