Ministry of Health Comments on 'Biological Laboratories' in Armenia

The Ministry of Health of Armenia has provided details about the so-called 'biological laboratories' in the country. Experts from Russia, the USA, and the EU have already visited these laboratories, as stated in response to a query from Sputnik Armenia.

The ministry has indicated that there is no term for biological laboratories in Armenian legislation. There are licensed organizations in the republic that provide laboratory and diagnostic assistance and services. These organizations carry out diagnostic research on biological materials using microbiological, viral, parasitic, and molecular-genetic methods. The main aim of these laboratories is to ensure public health.

It should be noted that recently a group of young people held a flash mob near the US embassy in Armenia against such facilities.
