Aivazyan Personally Handed Over Proposals on Demarcation and Delimitation to the Prime Minister, Vahagn Aleksanyan Says
I find it pointless to comment on the words of a person who, as the Minister of Foreign Affairs in December 2020, participated in an expanded session of the Security Council regarding the Kapan-Goris road and did not raise any objections. Later, he and his deputy, who also participated in the discussions, claimed ignorance.
This was stated by Vahagn Aleksanyan, a member of the 'Civil Contract' faction in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, during an interview with 'Haykakan Zhamanak' (Armenian Time), responding to the recent statements made by former Foreign Minister Ara Aivazyan.
It is noteworthy that Aivazyan recently visited former prime minister Arthur Vanetsyan, who is conducting a sit-in at Freedom Square in Yerevan. In an interview with journalists, Vanetsyan stated that the international community did not urge Armenia to lower its stance on the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh's status during his tenure, which Prime Minister Pashinyan had mentioned in his speech at the Armenian National Assembly.
Aleksanyan stated that in May 2021, Aivazyan personally handed over proposals on demarcation and delimitation to the Prime Minister, but both he and the ministry he led later claimed that they were unaware of this.
