Zakhrova Calls on World Leaders to Convince Those in Azovstal to Surrender
In the context of the situation surrounding Azovstal, world leaders can assist in only one way—by persuading those inside to use the humanitarian corridor, stated Maria Zakhrova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, as reported by RIA Novosti.
She quoted Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshchuk, who mentioned that around 1,000 civilians and 500 wounded soldiers are currently in Azovstal. Zakhrova also referred to Vereshchuk's remarks urging world leaders and the international community to concentrate their efforts towards Azovstal.
