Exhibit Dedicated to Genocide Victims Canceled Suddenly in Russia

In St. Petersburg, one day before its opening, the exhibit titled “No to Genocide” dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide has been canceled. This announcement was made by the Armenian Regional Youth Association.

“Something happened that we did not expect: a fully coordinated exhibition was disrupted at the last moment for reasons beyond our control... For several days, we have tirelessly worked towards resolving the issue, but it has not been possible to find a solution,” the organization stated in their message.

The statement also mentioned that efforts to resolve the issue had been made, including at the level of the Armenian Consulate General. The exhibit was scheduled to open at the historical park “Russia – My History.” According to ARMA, they are currently searching for another venue for the event.
