According to Shoigu, it will take 3-4 days to complete the operation in Azovstal. As reported by Russian news outlets, this was communicated to Russian President Putin by Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu. It is noted that Putin deemed the attack on the Mariupol Azovstal industrial zone unnecessary and ordered its cancellation.

“There is no need to enter catacombs; it is necessary to block the industrial zone in Azovstal so that not even a fly can escape,” said the Russian president.
