Austria Halts Oil Imports and Processing from Russia

Austria has ceased oil imports and processing from Russia as of March. This was reported today to TASS by the Austrian oil and gas company OMV.

According to a representative of the Austrian company, the share of Russian crude oil in OMV's refineries in Schwechat, Austria and Burghausen, Germany has always been quite small. “During March, we replaced those volumes with other crude oil sourced from the market. Currently, we are not processing Russian oil,” the representative stated in response to a related inquiry.
