How to Enroll First Graders: Details

Online registration for children attending the first grade is mandatory for those public schools that are not the only ones in the given locality. The online registration process will be carried out in three phases by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia through the "Electronic System for Enrolling Students in Schools." This information is provided by the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.

First Phase
From June 21, registration will be open for citizens with privileges. Priority will be given to the sibling of a child already enrolled in the same school and the employment status of the parent. This phase of registration will last for 14 days.

Second Phase
Starting July 6, the enrollment process for first graders will take place on a general basis for all those applying to public educational institutions providing instruction in Armenian.

Third Phase
From July 12, enrollment will also be available for children of foreign citizens, dual citizens, stateless individuals, and representatives of national minorities in classes where teaching is conducted in Russian. This regulation also applies to children whose one parent is an RA citizen and the other is not.

Registration will continue throughout the academic year. If at least one child from a group of siblings (twins, triplets, quadruplets, etc.) is registered in any public school, this serves as the basis for the admission of the other siblings to the same institution, regardless of the number of licensed places available.

Check the accuracy of the child's and parent's information in advance
As an important preparatory step for registration, it is necessary to verify the completeness of the child's information. For this purpose, the public service numbers of the child and parent must be entered into the system at stugum.emis.am to confirm the presence and accuracy of the child's personal data. This step is necessary to avoid potential issues during the actual registration process.
