Russian Army in Disgraceful Condition: Russian Banker Condemns 'Insane War'
The founder of the Russian bank Tinkoff, Oleg Tinkov, has commented on the war in Ukraine, stating that he sees no beneficiary in this 'insane war', as innocent people and soldiers are dying. He also noted that the quality of the Russian army is not what the leaders of the security agencies expected.
In a post on his Instagram account, Tinkov wrote: 'Generals, waking up from their stupor, realized that their army is in disgraceful condition. Where can a good army come from if everything else in the country is miserable and steeped in servitude? Kremlin officials are shocked that not only they but also their children won't be able to go to the Mediterranean Sea this summer. Businesspeople in the country are trying to save their remaining assets. Of course, there are fools who draw the Z symbol, but fools make up 10% in any country. 90% of Russians are against this war,' Tinkov wrote.
He also addressed Western politicians in English, urging them to influence the decisions of Russian President Vladimir Putin. 'Dear 'collective West', please be more rational and humanitarian,' Tinkov wrote.
